Pro Tips from Beardbrand: When your beard gets a little longer than you want, you may want to consider trimming it at home instead of heading to the barber. It is important to comb your beard before getting started. This will allow the hairs to separate and allow any tangles to be brushed out, making all of the hairs reach their full length. If you are just cleaning up the edges of your beard, snip the long hairs that stand out from the majority of your beard to give you a uniform look. Zone in on pesky split-ends, too. Trimming those away will help keep your beard healthy and manageable.
If a mega trim to take away length is your goal, we suggest taking away a little bit of length at a time. It is possible to always take more away, but you can’t put it back after you’ve cut. Make sure to continue combing your beard through this process to allow for an even cut.
